Richard Schwalberg Elected to National Board

(St. Petersburg, Florida, July 28, 2026) – FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBINCAAA) announced the election of Richard Schwalberg to the Board of Directors and to the position of Secretary. Richard’s extensive Chapter and National experiences will assist immensely in board meeting coordination, accurate records management, stewardship of organizational documents, and supporting our governance and compliance efforts.

Richard graduated from the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy in 2010 and later served as President of the FBI Cleveland CAAA, where he helped launch community initiatives that were adopted by Chapters nationwide. He went on to serve as Regional Chapter Coordinator for Region One, joined the National Board in 2021 as Director of Development, became Vice President for Operations in 2022, and served as National President in 2024.

“We are delighted to welcome Richard back to the Board. His knowledge and past experiences will help immensely in shaping the organization’s long-term direction.” said Guillermo Torres, Acting President.

Richard retired as Chief Operating Officer of Menorah Park in Cleveland and has been recognized with numerous local and national honors, including Professional of the Year, Advocacy of the Year, and Humanitarian awards. He holds an MHA from George Washington University and a BBA from Baruch College, City University of New York.

FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBINCAAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that works in partnership with the FBI to promote public safety and security through community engagement, education, and outreach initiatives. Founded in 2005, the National organization provides training, resources, and governance oversight for 55 local FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association Chapters representing more than 53,000 business, civic, religious, and community leaders across the U.S., Guam, and Puerto Rico.
